Brian Hicks, author of The Mayor: Joe Riley and the Rise of Charleston as well as local Post and Courier columnist, will grace us with his humor and candor regarding the process of writing this recent well-received biography. The Mayor chronicles Mayor Riley’s tenure as mayor but also enlightens us about the many changes to the Charleston area during the past 40 years. Come and enjoy learning about Brian Hicks’ insight into the life of one of our country’s longest-serving mayors, Joseph Patrick Riley Jr.
